Are your products gluten free?

Nope. They are not. We have not validated for gluten free. We do not operate allergen-free manufacturing sites, however we do have allergen management programs in all our facilities. The intent of these programs is to avoid unintentional cross-contamination of allergens between products. Our product labels adhere to the FDA’s strict regulations regarding declaration of ingredients and allergens. We do not use the terms “Natural” or “Artificial Flavorings” to hide the existence of any allergens. RECIPES CAN CHANGE. We strongly recommend that allergic consumers refer to ingredient declarations EVERY TIME they purchase processed foods.

Where can I find all the ingredients for my favorite Klondike® products?

A: Here’s what you do: Head back to the home page, find the product you’d like to know more about, click into the product page and then click on the Ingredients Tab. It’s actually kind of amazing that you’ve made it this far without running into any of the ingredients tabs. Remember that RECIPES CAN CHANGE. We strongly recommend that allergic consumers refer to ingredient declarations EVERY TIME they purchase processed foods. Is this kosher?

Any product that is kosher will have the designated symbol on the package, which indicates it is a kosher product (Example: K, OU, P or PARVE, U, etc). Because product formulations often change, it’s best to check your package for the most up-to-date kosher designation.

I’m throwing a dinner party and I’m going to serve Klondike® bars for dessert. What should I serve for the entree?

You’re putting us on the spot! Hmm, we really like Chilean sea bass. So our answer is: Chilean sea bass.

My Klondike® product tastes weird. What should I do?

Well, that’s a new one. But if you think there’s something wrong with the Klondike® product you purchased, give us a heads up on our consumer care line (1-800-931-2830).

Where can I get coupons for Klondike® products?

Occasionally we’ll offer coupons and samples on our website and Facebook page. Yeah, we have a Facebook page! And it’s the sweetest cyberspace this side of, uh, this website … so check it out. The other thing you can do is head over to our Sign-up page. Just fill in the blanks, hit enter and you’ll be the first to receive the latest news, updates and special offers.

There’s not enough chunks, swirls, crunch, flavor, etc.

Well this is a bit of a catch-22. We try to make all those chunks, swirls and crunches as satisfying as possible, but sometimes they taste so good you just have to have more. If you have specific comments, we’d be happy to chat on our consumer care line (1-800-931-2830).

How long can I store ice cream after opening?

Great question. As long as your Klondike® product has never melted and been re-frozen and you’re enjoying it by the “Tastes Best Before” date, you should be all set. We don’t recommend refreezing melted products because the flavor and consistency will be affected. And no one likes it when their Klondike® bars are … affected. Here are a few tips to keep them as fresh as possible: At the supermarket, buy frozen foods last. Be sure the package shows no signs of thawing and refreezing. Ask to have the ice cream be bagged in plastic with other frozen foods. At home, immediately unpack the ice cream and place it in the coldest part of the freezer, not in the door where it is subject to more fluctuating temperatures.

Why don’t you put more Klondike® bars in the package?

I guess we could put more bars in our packages, but six is our favorite number. And to be honest, if your goal is to have more Klondike bars, you could always just … buy … more … Klondike® bars, right?

I have the “What would you do for a Klondike® bar?” jingle stuck in my head.

Ah, yes, easy fix. Convince a friend to scare the living daylights out of you. Alternatively, drink a huge glass of ice water with a wooden spoon clenched between your teeth. Wait, those are cures for the hiccups. Hmm, maybe try listening to some ’90s hip-hop?

What varieties do you offer in the No Sugar Added line?

Currently Klondike® offers our famous Vanilla bars and the Krunch bars; no sugar added. And let us tell you: They are faaaaantastic. Seriously, they’re awesome and have less sugar.

I saw that you have a new No Anti-Growth Hormone used in your cows claim on your packaging. Can you tell me more about that?

We’ve made a commitment to only use milk and cream from American cows that are not treated with artificial growth hormones (Hooray for doing the right thing!). But, FYI, while our ice cream may meet this standard, suppliers of other ingredients like cookies, candies and sauces may not be able to make the same pledge. That said, the FDA states that no significant difference has been shown between dairy products derived from rBST-treated and non-rBST-treated cows. Hope that helps. ☺

I can’t find my favorite Klondike® product at my local grocer. How can I find the nearest retail location?

Oh no! We’re sorry you’re having difficulty locating your favorite Klondike® product. We’ve never personally experienced that awful feeling due to the fact that we have all our products always … because we make them. But not to worry! Please visit our Find a Store to find the nearest vendor of our frozen tastiness! Then you and your favorite ice cream treat will be reunited in a state of dessert-induced bliss.

How do you come up with new ice cream creations?

Great question. It’s a lengthy process. First we wait until the dead of winter. Then we make the 4,000-mile trek to the Yukon via snowmobile. Upon arrival, we enter a massive igloo and sit there until someone comes up with a great product idea. Then we all high-five and go home…
